Review: Shero Science Power C Serum

These past few weeks have been a stress for me since 2nd Semester midterms are ending which means hundreds of performance tasks. There were times wherein I’d sleep at 1am and wake up at 4am just to be able to finish a performance task and it hasn’t been great. My face was so congested and dull due to my lack of sleep, to sum it all up, I looked horrible. I’ve been meaning to check out other vitamin c brightening serums ever since I ran out of my old one, and the one that caught my eyes was Shero Science’s Power C Brightening Serum.

Shero Science is a company that makes skincare fast and easy, especially for those who don’t know much about what to use. The ingredients they use on their products are based on science and research. You can use their products without the need to visit your dermatologist.

This product claims to:
  • Smooths lines and brightens skin
  • Reduces dark spots and hyperpigmentation
  • Replenishes skin to restore your glow

It contains:
  • 15% L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), a powerful antioxidant that brightens skin and evens skin tone
  • 1% Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) replenishes your skin of Vitamin E lost over time, helping to prevent signs of aging
  • 0.5% Ferulic Acid, a plant-based ingredient, enhances the stability of all other ingredients in your product
After using this for 2 weeks, you can expect to see brighter and healthier skin. After 2 months, you can expect to see fewer lines, smoother skin, and less hyperpigmentation.

I’ve been using their Power C Serum every morning after using my toner for about a month already and so far, I’ve been loving the results. My skin looks so much brighter despite my lack of sleep, and my dark spots and acne scars have significantly lightened. To sum it all up, it’s the perfect product for students like me who doesn’t always get enough sleep, or really anyone who has dull skin. The only thing that I don’t like about this product is that it makes my hand smell like metal. I’ve tried to wash my hand so many times, and yet the scent is still there. According to research, there may be an ingredient which reacts with skin to produce the smell. Other than that, this is the perfect product and I would buy this again.
